Deck Cadet (New Zealand Programme)

Courses is accredited by Maritime New Zealand and conducted, under a collaborative agreement between "Institute of Maritime Education & Training Pvt. Ltd, Australia & New Zealand Maritime School." The Certification acquired under these Courses is accepted globally and in compliance with the requirements of the International Maritime organization as well as the relevant sections of the Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping (STCW) for Seafarers, 1978, as amended.

COURSE CONTENT :
The course is conducted over 3 stages as follows:

STAGE 1 : Pre Sea Program (PSP) 3 - Months duration, conducted in India. Upon completion, trainees will be awarded the Certificate in Shipping & Transport (CST) .

STAGE 2 : Shipboard Attachment Program (SAP) 18 - Months sea going training on board merchant ships. A Distance Learning Program (DLP) will have to be completed by all the trainees during this stage.

STAGE 3 : A 5-month preparatory program leading to the trainees obtaining their Class 3 (Deck) Unlimited CoC issued by Maritime New Zealand provided they satisfy all the assessment and other criteria. This is an IMO White List certification and accepted globally in the maritime world.

Eligibility :
10+2 PCM / B. Sc / Diploma in (Mech. / Elect. / Electronics) / B. E. (Mech. / Elect. / Electronics). Should be fluent in written & spoken English.

Age :
Not exceeding 25 years on the date of commencement of training.

Medical Fitness :
Medically fit with eyesight 6/6, without external aids. No color blindness.

Selection Procedure :
PHOENIX MARITIME SERVICES PVT LTD under marks an Aptitude and written tests follows by an interview. The final selection will only takes place after medical check-up through our panel Doctor (Approved by Director General of Shipping Govt of India).
